ABOUT THE CLIENT AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans MonumentDedicated on March 29th, 2014, the monument stands on the northeast side of the Texas Capitol grounds as a permanent tribute to the Texans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War.

This is also a “living monument” that includes an online educational archive of veteran stories, photos and videos to preserve the history of Texans in the Vietnam War as an educational resource. The full monument experience also includes other social and interactive features such as online discussions and reflections, user-submitted personal accounts and tributes, interactive maps, and a virtual tour mobile web application to enhance your experience as you visit the monument site.

When you arrive at the monument site, you can simply scan the QR code located on the monument plaque and allow the mobile app to be your virtual tour guide through every figure and panel on the monument. The mobile tour has been specifically designed for mobile devices and tablets and includes audio-video explanations of each design element as well as first-person accounts by those who lived it. You can choose to be guided through each figure and panel in a linear fashion, or if you prefer, you can skip to individual panels or figures at your own pace.

It’s been an honor to work with the TCVVM Committee from the beginning on many marketing initiatives including web design and development, logo design, branding and many other print materials.

“In the late winter/early spring of 2012 the Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument Executive Committee commissioned Mike Brannon and the staff of Trifecta Interactive (now Landers Brannon) to redesign our monument web site at buildthemonument.org. They were given the requirements that the site must be informative and support easy and logical navigation, graphic, video, and audio integration along with the need to allow a site visitor to provide financial support for the monument and to contribute to an interactive building of a living monument. Mike and his staff met and exceeded those requirements far beyond our expectations and in far less time then we anticipated. It is noteworthy that in over a years time since the launch of the redesigned web site, we have never received any negative feedback on the site. Without any reservation whatsoever, the committee highly recommends Mike and his team in providing professional and best practices design, development, launch, and support of web site and mobile application needs. They are the best!”
